Launch of Cashless Treatment Scheme and UT-Level eDAR Workshop in Puducherry

The Police Department, Government of Puducherry, organized a one-day UT-level workshop on eDAR, inaugurated by Shri P. Sathiyasundaram, IPS, DIG. The workshop coincided with the launch of the Cashless Treatment Scheme for Road Accident Victims by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Puducherry.
The event was attended by Ministers for Home and Public Works Department, MLA Shri Sambath, senior officials from Finance and Transport Departments, and the Director General of Police.
Shri N. Dhanasekar, Director (IT), NIC Chennai, explained the framework of the cashless treatment scheme, developed through integration of the Trauma Management System (TMS) with the iRAD/eDAR platform, enabling cashless treatment up to ₹1.5 lakh or seven days of care for road accident victims.
Shri Manivasagam, Director (IT), NIC Chennai, elaborated on the integration of iRAD/eDAR with major systems such as CCTNS, VAHAN, SARATHI, DataLake, and GatiShakti. NIC officials demonstrated module functionalities and addressed queries from stakeholders.
The workshop concluded with the National Anthem and a vote of thanks by Mr. Praveen Kumar Tripathi, SSP Traffic-cum-SPoC iRAD/eDAR.
