Cyber Security Awareness Workshop Organized by NIC Tamil Nadu at Chennai

The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Tamil Nadu, organized a one-day Cyber Security Awareness Workshop on 28th October 2025 at the Anna Administrative Staff College, Chennai, to promote cyber safety and best practices across Government Departments.
The event witnessed participation from NIC officers of Tamil Nadu and delegates from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Puducherry, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, with many joining virtually from across India.
The workshop began with a welcome address by Shri Kamalakkannan, State Informatics Officer, followed by the lamp lighting ceremony.
Shri V. T. V. Ramana, DDG & Group Coordinator (Cyber Security), NIC HQ, and Smt. Shahnaz I, IPS, Cyber Crime Wing, Tamil Nadu, addressed the gathering on the importance of cybersecurity awareness.
Shri Brajendra Navnit, IAS, Principal Secretary, IT & DS Department, delivered the inaugural address, highlighting the State’s Cyber Security Policy 2.0 initiatives.
Experts from NIC and SETS conducted sessions on cyber threats, post-quantum cryptography, network security, SOC operations, and secure coding.
The workshop successfully reinforced cyber awareness and digital resilience among government stakeholders.
