Awareness Training on eKalaal Software for DIOs/ADIOs – NIC Tamil Nadu

NIC Tamil Nadu conducted an awareness training programme on eKalaal Software for all DIOs/ADIOs through Video Conference to strengthen technical support for the Prohibition and Excise Department and District Collectors across the State.

The eKalaal Software, developed by NIC, is a comprehensive digital platform for online license approvals, renewals, and permits, enabling efficient processing and real-time monitoring by District and State Excise Officials.

The session covered system architecture, workflows, and key features including 32 renewal services, 34 new license services, role-based access, e-Treasury integration, DSC-enabled licenses, real-time application tracking, dashboards, and MIS reports.

The training was conducted by Shri D. Eswaran, Senior Director (IT) & HOD; Shri S. Sathyamoorthi, Director (IT); and Tmt. J. Jeevitha, Joint Director (IT).

All DIOs/ADIOs from 38 NIC District Centres participated actively. Queries were addressed, and feedback was collected for further enhancement of the software.

The programme enhanced readiness of NIC officials to support efficient, transparent, and technology-driven excise administration in Tamil Nadu.
