    • Venue : Director General of Audit, Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu

The Comprehensive Audit Management System (CAMS) (https://cams.tn.gov.in) is a statewide digital platform designed and developed by NIC Tamil Nadu State Centre to automate the end-to-end audit lifecycle across five State Government Audit Departments under the Director General of Audit — HRIA, SGA, LFA, Co-operative Audit, and Milk Audit.

CAMS integrates audit planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting into a single transparent and efficient system, supported by interactive dashboards and MIS reports for all stakeholders.

Key features include smart audit planning and allocation, digital field audit with online observations and auditee responses, inspection audit for enhanced accountability, and online audit report generation and issuance.

The platform also supports legacy audit para data migration and a robust Audit Para Management System for faceless settlement and systematic follow-up at district and state levels.

Implementation Status: Phase-I was successfully rolled out in April 2025 across Tamil Nadu. Audits for two quarters are completed, and the third quarter is in progress.

CAMS currently covers 80,000+ auditable institutions, with 22,000 institutions audited, engaging 4,000+ auditors. Since launch, 4 lakh audit slips have been generated, 3.72 lakh converted to audit paras, and 14,000 audit reports issued, significantly strengthening transparency, efficiency, and governance in state audits.
