Visit of Ms. Alka Misra, DDG & State Coordinator, to NIC Tamil Nadu State Centre

Ms. Alka Misra, DDG & State Coordinator for Tamil Nadu, visited NIC–TNSC on 26th September 2025. She was accorded a warm welcome by Shri M. Kamalakkannan, DDG & SIO, along with senior officers and staff of NIC Tamil Nadu.

SIO presented an overview of the State’s major ICT initiatives, highlighting NIC’s contributions to e-Governance systems, mission-critical applications, infrastructure services, and capacity-building efforts. Project heads then delivered detailed presentations covering objectives, achievements, challenges, and upcoming action plans across their respective domains.

Ms. Alka Misra appreciated the dedicated efforts of the NIC Tamil Nadu team in strengthening digital governance and emphasized adopting a product-centric approach, increased collaboration with neighbouring States, and active participation in national-level awards. She encouraged officers to upgrade technical skills through continuous online training and to align State initiatives with key Central projects.

During her interaction with DIOs and DIAs, she reviewed support extended to District Administration and urged officers to contribute to software development alongside routine responsibilities. She also assessed the progress of Central Projects such as eProcurement, eDAR, and IVFRT, commending the teams for their commitment.

NIC Tamil Nadu officials expressed their sincere gratitude for her guidance and continued support.
