Visit of Shri Abhishek Singh, IAS, Additional Secretary, MeitY & Director General, NIC to NIC Tamil Nadu State Centre

Shri Abhishek Singh, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Director General, National Informatics Centre (NIC), visited the NIC Tamil Nadu State Centre (TNSC) on 8th September 2025 and interacted with officials from both State and District Centres.

He was warmly welcomed by Shri M. Kamalakannan, DDG & SIO, along with senior officers and staff of NIC-TNSC. The session began with a presentation on the State Centre’s strategic ICT framework, followed by project briefings highlighting e-Governance initiatives in land records, rural development, health, and social welfare.

The DG, NIC commended the team’s efforts in promoting workflow-driven, data-centric governance and advised them to further advance projects such as land record exchange to enhance data accuracy and inter-departmental collaboration.

He encouraged officers to engage in knowledge sharing, capacity building, and training on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, utilizing platforms such as iGOT.

The visit concluded with an interactive session, where DG, NIC appreciated the team’s dedication and reaffirmed NIC’s commitment to supporting Tamil Nadu’s digital transformation journey.
